Welcome to Grassland Heights Baptist Church children's ministry!
At GHBC, we believe each child is a precious gift from God. We are committed to offering children a safe and fun place to experience God's love, grow in their faith, make friends, and build memories that will last a life time.
Our mission is partnering with parents to help children experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. Loving each child. Inviting each child to a relationship with Jesus Christ. Showing each child ways to love God. Teaching each child to understand Scripture. Preparing each child to honor God throughout their life.
Sunday Activities
Bible Study - 9:15am
A fun time for kids filled with activities, bible study, prayer, etc.
Morning Worship - 10:30am
The regular morning worship service.
- Nursery for infants and toddlers up to three years old
Wee Church - During the worship service -
A supervised place for three and four year olds to go during the worship service; games, stories, snacks, and fun play time. Parents can pick up their kids in the classroom.
Children's Choir - Every other Sunday morning, We take the kids to choir to learn old and new songs and learn all about music.
Children's Worship – Several times a month during the worship service -
The Children’s minister leads a time just for older preschoolers and children during the worship service.
Children's Church – After the offering, kids in Kindergartens through 2nd grade have the option of going to children’s church -
A time where children study the Bible, snacks, and fun games. Parents can pick up their children at the church library located in the foyer.
Wednesday Activities
Nursery - 6:00pm
A supervised area for babies and toddlers to stay during AWANA and Wednesday night prayer service.
AWANA
Wednesdays from 6:00pm – 7:30pm
AWANA is a Christ-Centered organization for boys and girls from ages 3 through 5th grade. Evening activities are focused on verse memory, Bible lessons, and games. The word AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
Other Activities
Vacation Bible School scheduled for late July each summer. Each summer children fill every corner of the church and participate in exciting worship, creative crafts, fun games, interactive Bible learning, and a mission project. This past summer more than 90 children participated and we expect more next summer!
Family Events are scheduled throughout the year to give children and parents opportunities to have fun together and build friendships. Events include skating, bowling, roller skating, picnics, concerts, crafts, community service, etc.
